Building A Legacy That Will Create Brighter Futures For Generations

Imagine living in a village that has existed for over 100 years without a school or a place of worship. Nyanda, a remote village in Malawi, separated from the world by a river with no bridge, is home to generations of children who have never experienced formal education and families who have lacked a spiritual gathering space.

Our goal is simple but powerful: to raise $20,000 to build the first-ever school and church in Nyanda. This is more than just constructing buildings; it’s about providing life-changing opportunities for education, community growth, and spiritual nurturing.

By supporting this project, you will help break the cycle of illiteracy and isolation. The school will offer local children a chance to learn and dream, while the church will serve as a place for the community to gather, find hope, and support one another. Together, we can create a brighter future for generations to come.

Join us in transforming Nyanda Village and be part of this historic moment that will forever change lives. Your contribution will lay the foundation for education, faith, and progress in one of Malawi’s most underserved areas.

In an interview, Chief Banda expressed his deep appreciation, emphasizing that this will be the first school and church ever built in Nyanda. He shared his hope that these buildings will change mindsets, raising a new generation of children prepared for a brighter future. Plans for a small library within the school are also in the works.

Stay tuned for video interviews with the chief and villagers, which will be posted here soon.

Curious and full of wonder, these children were among the first to greet us as we arrived in Nayanda.

Each child received a card with the message: ‘Your wings already exist, all you have to do is fly.’ As they opened the card, a wind-up butterfly fluttered out, sparking squeals of joy and laughter.”

How One Young Man’s Education Sparked Hope for an Entire Village

Meet Joseph Chipokosa—a remarkable young man from Nyanda, a remote village that has never had a school or church. Joseph’s journey began 31 years ago when he was born into the heart of this village. Tragically, at the age of 9, Joseph lost his mother, leaving him an orphan. In that moment of grief, he made a life-changing decision. Instead of returning to Nyanda after his mother’s funeral, he sought out his uncle in a neighboring village—driven by one powerful dream: to get an education.

His uncle welcomed him, and Joseph’s determination paid off. He worked hard and, through his perseverance, earned a scholarship from NuSkin’s Force For Good ETC program to attend high school. It was there, during his senior year, that Joseph crossed paths with Christine Kipp. She was so inspired by his story and potential that it sparked the creation of Nurture Our World, the organization that would make it possible for Joseph to not only pursue higher education but also graduate with honors from Pune University.

Joseph’s thirst for knowledge didn’t stop there. On July 26, 2024, he proudly earned his Master’s Degree in Christian Ministry, his graduation picture is shown below. But Joseph’s story doesn’t end with personal success—it comes full circle, back to the village of Nyanda. After 21 years away, Joseph returned to his birthplace, only to find the same impoverished conditions he had once left behind.

Determined to make a difference, Joseph took action. With the support of Nurture Our World, he provided the village with 10,000 pounds of maize from his own harvest, ensuring food security for his community. He also began building his grandmother her first real home—replacing the small, round hut she had lived in her entire life. But Joseph’s vision stretched even further. He purchased land, rallied the villagers to make bricks, and laid the foundation for something that had never existed in Nyanda: a school and a church.

Today, Joseph’s dream is within reach, but we need your help to make it a reality. We are raising $20,000 to complete the construction of Nyanda’s first-ever school and church, and to provide essential supplies for the students. If one young man’s education could inspire such transformation, imagine the impact of bringing education to all the children of Nyanda. Together, we can create a brighter future for this village.

Below Joseph proudly shows off his Master’s Degree Diploma in Christian Ministry, in the second picture he introduces his son Joseph Jr for the first time to his native village, and thirdly he is pictured with his wife and two children on the land he has purchased for the school and church.
